Hello! I am Leon, and I have a travel blog (we love you Leon...)
You probably have questions. I'll do my best to first guess what those questions are, and then answer them

WHO AM I NOT?

  • I'm not a nomad

  • I'm not traveling for a living

  • I'm not a photographer

  • I'm not a writer

OK, THEN WHO AM I?

  • I'm a storyteller

  • I'm a food eater, a beer drinker, a diver, a music listener, a salsa dancer, a language speaker, a hobby collector, and a traveler (in my soul, not always in other ways)

  • I live in places for a long time, and I like my 9 to 5 job

  • I'm taking pictures with my phone, and I'm very shitty at doing that

  • I'm just normal, like you, or at least like that guy in your office that goes for a nice vacation few times a year

WHY DO I HAVE A BLOG?

I appreciate the people that decide to leave everything and start traveling, but most of us are not doing that, because of reasons. Our traveling needs are different, sometimes we want to spend a weekend in a city being a tourist, sometimes we want to be backpackers for 2 weeks, sometimes we want (or need) to travel on a budget, and sometimes we can afford to spend a bit. A lot of time is being spent on planning vacations and somehow there is never enough information for what we want to know.

Enters this blog. I like to do a bit of everything, and oh how I like to tell stories. I have decided that I would start putting the random travels that I'm having, the things I've learned from them, and the objectively very cools stories in written. So the next time that you are planning a weekend getaway, or a 3 month sabbatical travel you can come to this place, get some ideas, and see if other normal people did that.

In this blog you will see suggestions on how to spend time in places, hikes, recommendations, general advice about places I've been to, and of course some personal stories of some of the adventures.

Sounds good? In my head it does!

WHO IS THE MONKEY? WHY IS HE ON THE MOVE?

The monkey is me (surprise!), I have at least 3 people in my life that said that I'm a monkey, including my mom, so I decided to embrace that.

I'm constantly moving. Be it shaking my leg nervously, go for a vacation, or move to live in a new country. Because who doesn't? (shake their leg nervously)

WE SEE THE NAME LUCY A LOT, WHO IS SHE?

Lucy is my partner in crime, and one of said 3 people that told me that I'm a monkey. She is the planner, the brain behind most of our vacations, and her level of craziness is matching mine.
